Explorations

Since my motto is that artists don't comfortably categorize themselves, I love to explore other techniques and materials. When time permits, I work on new techniques and sometimes on other handmade things that have little to do with rugs. I'm currently exploring braiding and ribbonwork. I've posted my child's chair for you to see. Check back in when you can - I'll definitely have new explorations to show you.

Child's Chair with Pillow

We gave this chair and small pillow to a dear family friend Leela when she was very small. The wooden chair is painted with yellow milk paint over barn red, distressed and crackled. There is a delicate stencil on the back of the chair. The pillow follows a 19th century classic heart image. If you're interested in a child's chair, please get in touch with me. | Click title for larger image.
